Traffic Lights - Circuit Set-up#
Follow the schematic shown below to set up your circuit.
While this set-up may look like a big step up in complexity, we can see that the individual LEDs and the button are connected to the Pico in much the same way we as before. The resistors are oriented differently but this is only since space is limited.
Tip
Rather than individually connecting each LED to a Ground Pin, we have connected all the negative pins of the LEDs to eachother. We can then connect only the final LED in the series’ negative pin into a ground pin, and all other LEDs will be grounded through it.
